Partnership and Certificates

Whether you've already completed your language course or are seeking further training, IDP has exclusive partnerships to further boost your academic and professional development!

Certification in Italian

Since 2025, IDP has partnered with the Università degli studi Roma Tre to act as an official Italian language certification body through a cooperation agreement. The Centro Linguístico Ateneo (CLA) of the Università degli studi Roma Tre is an Italian language certification body recognized by the Italian Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Education, University and Research.

The cooperation agreement authorizes the IDP Language Academy to handle the design, development, application, and evaluation of the Italian as a Foreign Language (L2) certification exams – Certit – without the need to leave Brazil. The objective of the certification is to officially declare the more or less stable level of knowledge that a non-native Italian speaker possesses in that language.

Certit comprises six examination systems, corresponding to the six levels of competence identified by the Council of Europe in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR, Council of Europe, 2001).
