The IDP library was structured to meet the research and information needs of its undergraduate and graduate courses. Its collection is extensive and includes books, e-books, reference works, special collections, scientific journals, and databases. These works are not limited to Portuguese and include items in Spanish, English, French, Italian, and German. The Digital Library aims to make access to internal academic and scientific production more efficient and its virtual collection contains documents resulting from its cultural, technical, and scientific activities, as well as the doctrinal production of its students and faculty.
Plataformas Digitais
One of the distinguishing features is the digital collection policy, bringing greater accessibility to students and, of course, deepening their studies. The IDP library seeks to make access to information increasingly easier and therefore invests in digital content. The library is always looking for new and updated resources to add to its collection.
See also other features
Over 800 updated e-book and magazine titles, featuring the best solutions in legal research and much more.
Institutional Repository – Academic and scientific output from IDP (monographs, dissertations, and e-books)
Access to thousands of national and international journals with up-to-date scientific content, including abstracts and full text.
Accessibility
The IDP Library has several accessibility features to improve your user experience. We have lowered study areas and a service desk, adapted keyboards with sign language and larger letters, and headphones for using accessibility programs.
In addition to these physical resources, the library also has two programs installed on the computers to assist users who need them: Dosvox and Vlibras. With Dosvox, the user can listen to the selected text, a feature that Minhabiblioteca also provides for reading e-books on this platform. With VLibras, the selected text will be translated into sign language and will appear on the screen for the user to read the document.

Services
Digital Accessibility
The IDP library aims to provide services beyond books. Notebook loans are another service developed by the library team to promote digital inclusion for students and the use of all informational resources available at IDP. Loans are available in shifts. Please see the regulations below:
Study and research environment
The IDP library has individual study carrels with and without computers, group study rooms, and individual study booths. Internet access is uninterrupted, and computer use is for research and study purposes only.
Assistance with research
IDP students can ask librarians for help with their research, whether it's guidance on databases, identifying reliable journals, using IDP's digital platforms, or other information.
To request this service, simply contact the library via email or WhatsApp.
Employees into bibliotecas
The IDP Library participates in partnerships with libraries in the RVBI network in order to increase access to works. Through this service, the academic community will be able to obtain copies of journal articles, theses, conference proceedings, technical reports, and parts of documents available in the collections of the main Brazilian libraries.
To access interlibrary loan (ILL) services, users must request the loan through the service channels, providing the complete bibliographic reference of the document. The delivery time of the material to the user varies according to the availability of the material at the partner library.
Loan and repayment
The IDP library has a collection of books, ebooks, and periodicals that can be borrowed in both physical and digital formats. To find out which borrowing options are available for the desired item, please consult our catalog.
Our loan policy is available in our regulations.
Literature review
The library guides users in searching for national and international informational materials, resulting in a list of existing bibliographies on a given subject or author, tailored to user specifications such as language, material type, and keywords.
A literature review consists of researching the existing bibliography on a given subject, following the data provided by the user, which can be used to reference academic works.
To request this service, simply contact the library via email or WhatsApp.
Guidance on ABNT standards
When conducting academic work, it is important that students follow ABNT standards. If you have any questions about using these standards, you can contact the library for assistance. The standards are available for consultation in the library, and we also have a guide with answers to frequently asked questions.
We also provide students with a template that serves as a guide for preparing their final course project. For templates of other types of materials, please contact the library.
Training and learning workshops
The library offers workshops aimed at empowering its users in various aspects: database use, application of ABNT standards, creation of a Lattes curriculum, use of Boolean operators in searches, use of reference managers, and others.
To participate, keep an eye on the IDP events calendar or contact the library for more information.
