But the reality show factory doesn't stop there; we've been watching talent shows and cooking competitions for a long time now. makeovers, among many others.

In recent years, one format has gained popularity among Brazilians: survival reality shows, or rather, the famous Naked and Afraid! The Discovery Channel program has already had 11 seasons since its launch in 2013.

The successful format uses the following formula: men and women meet naked in front of cameras, form pairs, and must survive in inhospitable environments around the world. This is one of those reality shows where you see a little bit of everything.

Equipped with only a simple kit containing a wireless microphone transmitter, a map, a camera, and a journal, participants must make the most of nature's resources to survive for 21 days.

One of the best reality shows in Brazil.

Naked and Afraid was so successful that a Brazilian edition was planned for this year. Before that, the show had already graced Brazilian soil to film a season in... Jalapão, Tocantins State Park

If you're someone who loves challenges and reality shows, pay attention! Applications for the Brazilian season of Naked and Afraid are now open. So, are you going to risk spending some time surviving naked in the middle of the woods?!

Rescuing good formulas

Back in the early 2000s, Brazil was introduced to "No Limite," a reality show with a focus on survival and competition. You probably remember the challenges where participants had to eat goat eyes and even brains.

Hosted by Zeca Camargo, the program awarded all participants with a brand new car and guaranteed cash prizes for the top three finishers. It ran for four seasons between 2000 and 2009, and after much nostalgia, Globo has announced a new season of the reality show.

The announcement came with two new developments: the first is the presenter, Marcos Mion, who, after announcing Jojo Toddynho's victory in the last edition of A Fazenda, will accompany former BBB contestants experiencing the challenges we know and love from No Limite! The internet is already buzzing with this announcement from Globo, making bets on which participants might be on the reality show and making some jokes about famous names from Big Brother Brasil.
