The Macroeconomic Center releases the monthly PNAD data for February 2025. The monthly unemployment rate rose to 7,2%, equivalent to 6,8% with seasonal adjustment. The total labor force was 110,9 million people. The worsening unemployment rate was driven by an increase in the number of people in the labor force, despite the significant growth in the employed population, driven by the continued improvement in the formal labor market.
