This panel brought together litigants and researchers, combining practice and theory, for an evaluation of this concept. This instrument for international data transfer is also provided for in the LGPD (Brazilian General Data Protection Law). Now we have to monitor how its use unfolds both here and in the EU.

The closing panel of CPDP LaTam featured our directors Laura Schertel and Danilo Doneda and offered a vision for the future, bringing together speakers involved in the various aspects of the challenges and opportunities identified throughout the three-day event.
These debates sparked diverse reflections on the implementation of data protection rights in Latin America, providing valuable information for future projects, research, and policies tailored to Latin America, as well as for future discussions at upcoming editions of CPDP LatAm.
