Since 2015, IDP and Università degli Studi Roma Tre have been working together to promote joint initiatives for teaching, research, and outreach in the field of Law. In December 2024, this partnership reached a new level with the signing of a Cooperation Agreement for the joint implementation of a Double Degree Program in Law.

Through this Program

Law students at IDP will be able to simultaneously obtain a Bachelor of Laws degree from IDP and an equivalent degree from the Università degli Studi Roma Tre in Italy (Laurea Magistrale a Ciclo Unico in Giurisprudenza). With this IDP degree, they will be able to take the bar exam in Italy to practice law in all countries of the European Union (according to the specific rules of each country), including in EU public bodies.

Its Dipartimento di Giurisprudenza (Law Department) is widely recognized for its excellence in undergraduate, master's, and doctoral legal education.

How the selection process works:

The selection process will be conducted by an evaluation panel and will consist of the following stages:

Analysis of the motivation letter

Analysis of curriculum and academic record.

Individual interview with the evaluation panel.

Assessment of Italian language proficiency (certificate or interview in Italian)

The final result will be announced on the days December 23, 2025 (1st Registration Block) and February 10, 2026 (2nd Registration Block) through IDP's official channels.

No IDP:

Selected students must successfully complete all required courses in the first two years (first, second, third, and fourth semesters, according to the current Curriculum Matrix for the IDP Law Degree).

IDP students can choose to take the elective course in the second semester of their mobility period, instead of the first, thus transferring the corresponding 7 ECTS credits to the second semester.

Investment

IDP students selected for the program will not pay any additional fees to the Università degli Studi Roma Tre. They only need to keep their IDP tuition fees up to date during their time in Italy (equivalent to the full course fee, corresponding to 20 credits).
