Thinking about alternatives to address the intense difficulties of the prison system, the Study Group on the Prison System – GESISP, was created in 2015 with the aim of bringing students closer to the reality of prisons, reflecting on the role of academia, analyzing legal instruments, understanding the systems of various prison models, studying the crisis of the system and seeking solutions, promoting academic production and humanizing the study of Law.
