The group proposes the production and publication of qualified academic analyses, as well as their dissemination, on the current situation in the Arabian Gulf, focusing on the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council—Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and Oman—their internal dynamics, and their relations with Brazil and Latin America. Among its main activities are the production of periodic newsletters, the organization of open events on the history and current affairs of the region, and participation in public debate through articles, interviews, and contributions to specialized media. With an interdisciplinary approach, the group seeks to broaden knowledge on topics such as geopolitics, energy, international trade, diplomacy, migration, technology, culture, and sports, contributing to the strengthening of academic and public debate and to Brazil's qualified insertion into discussions about the Gulf.
