Founded in the first half of 2026, the Research Group Comparandum This work starts from the premise of the need to revive teaching and research in the field of Comparative Law in Brazil and considers the openness and internationalization of Constitutional Law to be valuable, allowing the country to interact with other legal systems, permeating International and Constitutional Law, within the scope of Comparative Constitutional Law, a branch still little explored in Brazil and, therefore, with great potential for new approaches.
Comparandum This study, rooted in the normative pluralism brought about by internationalization aimed at humanization and integration, examines the use of comparative argument in the jurisprudence of the Brazilian Supreme Federal Court (STF). The objectives of Comparandum also encompass the analysis of horizontal dialogical practices between courts, the judicialization of issues related to challenges concerning threats to the stability of democracy and the realization of fundamental rights, as well as an understanding of models and experiences of justice systems.
Regular meetings are, in principle, held monthly, in an online format and occasionally in a hybrid format, with a basic text indicating guidelines for discussions and directed studies, and open to participation from non-members and invited professors.

c) Contemporary defense of democracy and fundamental rights through constitutional jurisdiction; and
d) Justice Systems: models, experiences, challenges and (re)formulations.
