The Undergraduate Tax Law Study Group at IDP aims to be a true center of academic excellence within the undergraduate program. It is an environment of rigorous debate, critical reading, and sophisticated argumentation, in which students are challenged to go beyond the merely expository study of the subject to achieve analytical and strategic mastery.
The Group's proposal is to transform the study of Tax Law into a constant exercise of structured reflection, article production, and the development of high-level practical skills. It aims to train not only good students, but future researchers, public and private lawyers, judges, and professionals who understand the structuring role of taxation in a democratic state governed by the rule of law.
In this context, academic competitions in Tax Law will play a central role in the project's identity. Preparation for moot courts and mock trials will be treated as a true laboratory of excellence: drafting briefs, strategically constructing arguments, mastering case law, intensive training in oral arguments, and honing the ability to argue under pressure.

Events, lectures, and roundtables with experts will also be organized, expanding students' contact with current discussions in the field.
In the field of scientific production, the group will encourage the preparation of articles, academic reports, and submissions to conferences and specialized journals, stimulating the development of legal writing and argumentative skills.
