From 2024 onwards, the Brazil-Europe Legal Comparisons Center (NCJBE), a research group of CEPES/IDP, will carry out its activities in cooperation with the Centro di Ricerca Interdipartimentale per gli Studi Politico-costituzionali e di Legislazione comparata (CRISPEL), of the Università degli studi Roma TRE, currently chaired by the distinguished professor of constitutional law, Gianpaolo Fontana. The purpose of the agreement is the development of an international research network focused on investigations in the political-constitutional and comparative legislation fields, aimed at supporting public and private institutions, both international, European and national. The international network operates with the participation of professors, researchers and students from both institutions (and others that may be added), as well as professionals in law, politics and economics, promoting research, scientific activities, events and international academic publications jointly. Through this agreement, NCJBE's research has expanded from Law to the areas of Political Science, Economics, International Relations, Business Administration, and Public Administration. This research aims to examine the reception, in time and space, by the Brazilian legal system, of legal solutions originating from European sources. The objective is to identify the main institutions and systems foreseen in the current Brazilian Constitution whose origins trace back to European legal systems, whether current or obsolete. After identifying the research material, the research will focus on verifying the similarities and differences in their functioning in each historical-spatial environment, using a comparative methodology. To this end, the internationalization of the group is proposed, through the direct participation of professors and researchers from the Università degli Studi di Roma Tre, for the exchange of information and experiences.
