The group focuses its research on comparing the "state of the art" of Brazilian civil liability with its advancements in European civil law systems and common law jurisdictions. To this end, we will analyze the functions of civil liability, its dialogue with philosophy, economics, and public policy. We will also address specific types of civil liability, examining its intersections with technology, data protection, medical law, bioethics, family law, business law, consumer law, environmental law, state responsibility, and other interactions with economic activities.
