Research analyzes the decision-making profile of the Superior Court of Justice in administrative misconduct cases.

Today we begin a series of original publications that will present in detail the results of empirical research conducted on the decision-making profile of the Superior.
Court of Justice in administrative misconduct cases. For two years, researchers from the Administrative Misconduct Group of the Brazilian Institute of Public Law (IDP) created and interpreted a broad database with detailed information on more than 700 STJ (Superior Court of Justice) judgments between 2005 and 2005.
and 2018.

This data allows us to empirically answer various long-standing questions: the Superior Court of Justice (STJ), responsible for standardizing the interpretation of legislation.
Is the court, even in cases of infraconstitutional law, inherently uniform? Which of its panels tends to convict more often? The success rate for a party varies greatly depending on the presiding judge, even in cases of infraconstitutional law.
Collegial judgments? Is there any logical criterion in applying sanctions for administrative misconduct?

With the STJ in Numbers series: Administrative Impropriety, we wish to invite professors, magistrates, lawyers, prosecutors, public managers, and academics.
to participate in a broad debate on the interpretation of the Law of Administrative Improbity. We also aim to encourage new empirical studies on the subject.
The Superior Court of Justice, given its importance in the Brazilian Judiciary. An excellent read!
