One of the main characteristics of MCDIA is its teaching methodology, which, in addition to a solid theoretical foundation, pays special attention to the analysis of case studies and practical applications of knowledge to Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.

Furthermore, the course has monthly classes, concentrated on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, in order to allow the participation of professionals who seek to reconcile their participation in the master's program with their professional practice.

The main difference of MCDIA It is, certainly, the qualification of the teaching staff, composed of professors who, in addition to standing out for their high and diverse academic qualifications, are also characterized by performing relevant functions in the upper echelons of the public sector.

This is a fundamental aspect of the program, since it allows students to present, analyze, and discuss ways to apply the theoretical tools presented in each subject to the reality of Public Administration, which emphasizes the professional nature of the course.

Aloisio Dourado Neto

Master's degree in applied computing, PhD candidate in Computer Vision, and chief auditor of the artificial intelligence service applied to the control of benefits and payments at the TCU (Brazilian Federal Court of Accounts).

Claudiomar Matias Rolim Filho

Holds a PhD in Public Policy from ENAP. Specialist in Public Policy and Government Management (EPPG), works as a data scientist in the Federal Government.

PhD in Computer Engineering from ITA (Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica). Data Scientist at the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI).

The IDP curriculum is interdisciplinary. The program has 4 areas of interest, allowing students from diverse backgrounds to deepen their knowledge and skills in areas useful for their academic and professional careers.

The student has total freedom to move between the 4 areas, choosing the subjects that seem most interesting to you for your career and for your academic and personal life.

TRACK 1: FUNDAMENTALS OF DATA SCIENCE

Track 1: In this track, students will develop an essential foundation for understanding and applying data science in public administration. The subjects cover everything from the principles of Python programming to advanced data visualization and Business Intelligence (BI) techniques, enabling students to transform raw data into strategic insights.

TRACK 2 – MACHINE LEARNING AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN THE PUBLIC SECTOR

In Track 2, students will be introduced to the fundamentals of machine learning and artificial intelligence, focusing on applications geared towards the public sector. The track's subjects cover everything from the basic principles of Machine Learning to advanced techniques in Deep Learning and Natural Language Processing (NLP), enabling students to build predictive models, automate analyses, and extract knowledge from large volumes of data.

TRACK 3 – ADVANCED TOPICS IN DATA SCIENCE IN THE PUBLIC SECTOR

In this track, students deepen their knowledge of data science applied to the public sector, exploring the implementation of predictive modeling to support strategic decisions and the use of autonomous agents in the public sector. The subjects cover topics ranging from recommendation systems to AI-based solutions for optimizing administrative processes, improving public policies, and enhancing the overall delivery of public services.

The Master's Program in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence is taught at the IDP's Asa Norte Campus, a building with modern and fully equipped classrooms. Our headquarters also has a number of spaces for socializing, relaxing, and studying, so that IDP becomes a second home for our students: a space where they have all the support they need to build a promising future.
