Based on an interdisciplinary perspective of politics and international relations, the Professional Master's Program in Political Science and International Relations at IDP (MCPRI) is structured to meet the demands of high-level professionals working in national and international contexts, in the public, private, and third sectors, as well as in multilateral organizations.
The contemporary job market demands increasingly qualified professionals with analytical skills, strategic vision, and evidence-based performance. One of the main characteristics of MCPRI is its applied teaching methodology, which combines a solid theoretical foundation with the analysis of case studies and the resolution of real problems related to the Brazilian political system, institutional and governmental relations, political negotiation, as well as trade, security, and international cooperation.
Furthermore, in-person meetings are held every two weeks, concentrated on Fridays and Saturdays, which facilitates the participation of active professionals, allowing them to reconcile excellent academic training with the performance of technical, managerial, or leadership roles in their original organizations.

The main distinguishing feature of MCPRI is undoubtedly the qualification of its faculty, composed of professors who, in addition to standing out for their high and diverse academic qualifications (100% of professors hold a PhD), are also characterized by a consolidated professional trajectory in the most varied areas of Political Science and International Relations.
This is a fundamental aspect of the program, since it allows students to present, analyze, and discuss ways to apply the theoretical tools presented in each discipline to the reality of Political Science and International Relations in public and private institutions, the third sector, and international organizations, which emphasizes the professional training character of the course.
