We believe that congresses, seminars, and specialized meetings are essential spaces for enhancing training, exchanging experiences, and integrating master's students into research and practice networks. Brazilian Political Science Association - ABCP
The Brazilian Political Science Association (ABCP), founded in 1986, is a non-profit organization that brings together academics and professionals in the field. It works to promote Political Science in Brazil through events, institutional partnerships, and support for academic training. Since 1996, it has organized biennial congresses and, since 2009, has collaborated with the Brazilian Postgraduate Forum. It maintains the... Brazilian Political Science ReviewABCP is the leading scientific journal in the field in the country. In recent years, it has expanded its scope with initiatives to support doctoral students, include undergraduate students as associates, and create regional directorates to strengthen its local presence. ABCP also stands out for its commitment to high ethical standards, the valuing of political institutions, and the defense of democracy.
Brazilian Association of International Relations - ABRI
The Brazilian Association of International Relations (ABRI) is a scientific entity dedicated to promoting International Relations as a field of study in Brazil. Its main objectives include stimulating academic production, fostering debate on teaching, research and professional practice, and representing the IR community in national and international institutions. ABRI also acts as an intermediary between academia and public and private bodies linked to research and education. It regularly organizes congresses, seminars, and meetings that strengthen the exchange of ideas and consolidate the field in the country.
Brazilian Forum of Postgraduate Studies in Political Science - FBCP
The Brazilian Forum of Postgraduate Studies in Political Science (FBCP) is a national event that brings together undergraduate and postgraduate students, researchers, and professors every two years to share research experiences in the field of Political Science. Its ninth edition will be held in July 2025 in the city of São Paulo, with the University of São Paulo (USP), through its Postgraduate Program in Political Science, as the host institution. The theme of this edition is "Global Impasses, Plural Lenses: Democratic Tensions from Brazil's Perspective." Can Brazilian political science offer answers to the difficulties of democracy in today's world in the form of diagnoses and possible interventions? We believe so. Therefore, the IX FBCP will bring together prominent researchers and actors to consider the future of democracy in Brazil and the world. We invite students from all regions of Brazil to reflect on these themes from a multiplicity of diverse perspectives on the country and the world.
