One of the main characteristics of MPCPRI is its teaching methodology, which, in addition to a solid theoretical foundation, pays special attention to the analysis of studies and practical applications of knowledge.

This is a fundamental aspect of the program, since it allows students to present, analyze, and discuss ways to apply the theoretical tools presented in each subject to the reality of the job market, which emphasizes the professional nature of the course.

Doctor of International Relations from the University of Brasília (UnB). Executive President of Abrasca (Brazilian Association of Publicly Held Companies).

MARCELA MACHADO

PhD in Political Science from the University of Brasília. Director of Studies and Social Policies at the Institute for Research and Statistics of the Federal District (IPEDF).

DANNIE GOBBI FRAGA DA SILVA

PhD in Political Science from Humboldt University of Berlin (HU). Advisor at the Secretariat of Institutional Relations of the Presidency of the Republic.

Monique Sochaczewski Goldfeld

PhD in History, Politics and Cultural Heritage from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV). Senior researcher at the Brazilian Center for International Relations (CEBRI).

HENRIQUE MARTINS SACHETIM

PhD in International Law from the University of São Paulo (USP). Works at the Secretariat of International Affairs of the Ministry of Finance.

TATIANA LACERDA PRAZERES

Holds a PhD in International Relations from the University of Brasília. A career civil servant at the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (MDIC), currently serving as the Ministry's Secretary of Foreign Trade. She was a Senior Advisor to the Director-General of the WTO between 2013 and 2018. In China, between 2019 and 2021, she was a Senior Fellow at the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) in Beijing.

The IDP curriculum is interdisciplinary. The program has 4 areas of interest, allowing students from diverse backgrounds to delve into knowledge useful for their academic and professional careers. The student possesses complete freedom to move between the 4 areaschoosing the subjects that seem most interesting to you for your career and for your academic and personal life.

Institutional and governmental relations, political consulting and public policies.

Area I focuses on the study of interactions between governmental and non-governmental actors and the impact of these relationships on the political and economic environment. This research line aims to develop analytical skills to assess how government policies, regulatory changes, and political events influence markets and the global business environment.

Election Campaigns and Political Mandates

Area II examines electoral campaigns and the exercise of political mandates, focusing on the relationship between electoral systems, parties, communication, and innovation. Topics such as financing, data use, technology, and strategies for democratic consolidation are addressed.

International Trade, Law and Development

This area of ​​interest is dedicated to the integrated study of the dynamics of international trade and its interactions with law and economic development. Students will be encouraged to explore topics such as international negotiations, trade defense, internationalization of companies, among others.

International Politics, Foreign Policy and Institutions

Area of ​​Interest IV focuses on the study of international politics and the foreign policy strategies adopted by states on the global stage. Students will investigate how international institutions and global norms influence the behavior of countries, as well as analyze decision-making processes in foreign policy.

INTERNATIONAL TITLE
The University of Lisbon (ULisboa) is the largest university in Portugal and one of the largest in Europe. Located in the heart of the city, it offers its entire community one of the best and most diverse range of educational programs and promises to be a unique and enriching experience.
In 2023, IDP signed an international agreement with the Higher Institute of Social and Political Sciences of the University of Lisbon (ISCSP-ULisboa), granting our Master's and Doctoral students exclusive access to the Master's in Management and Public Policy at ISCSP-ULisboa. This opens up a unique and exclusive opportunity for students in IDP's Stricto Sensu Programs, who can, during the regular completion period of their program, also obtain an international qualification: a Master's degree in Management and Public Policy from the University of Lisbon – a title valid throughout the European community.
