IDP student publishes book on custody hearings.

Lorena Ocampos, who holds a Master's degree in Law from the Institute of Education, Development and Research (IDP), will launch her book "Custody Hearing: Presence as a Fundamental Right".

This Wednesday, the day 27, at 19 hrs, the professor, substitute judge, and master of law, Lorena Ocampos, will launch his book “Custody Hearing: Presence as a Fundamental Rightat Quanto Café, na SCLN 103, Block ANorth Wing.

The author, a judge who worked in the Custody Hearing Center from 2016 to 2020, presents the reader with the main legal concepts of the institution from a critical and contextualized perspective, reinforces the importance of the topic in the context of defending fundamental rights, and engages with the most important research on the subject.

This work is the result of the author's master's thesis and is considered one of the most important academic references on custody hearings in Brazil.

Lorena was a student of Professor Dr. Carolina Costa Ferreira, Professor of the Postgraduate Program in Constitutional Law at IDP, who also wrote the preface to the book.

Lorena Ocampos She is a substitute judge at the TJDFT (Court of Justice of the Federal District and Territories). She holds a Master's degree in Law from IDP (Institute of Legal Studies). She is a specialist in Law from UPIS (University of the Federal District and Territories) in partnership with the School of Magistrates of the Federal District. She teaches Criminal Procedure and Criminal Sentencing in postgraduate programs and preparatory courses for public service examinations. She is a lecturer and author of legal works.
