The Center for Law, Internet and Society (CEDIS) of the Brazilian Institute for Teaching, Development and Research (IDP) has opened a call for applications for researchers to join its team studying artificial intelligence, personal data protection, and the regulation of digital ecosystems. Job openings and scholarships
The notice includes seven vacancies for working under the regime of 20 hours a week, with an initial duration of 12 months, renewable.The scholarships offered vary according to the level of qualification:
- 1 position available for a PhD. – Bag 4.000,00 BRL;
- 3 positions available for master's/doctoral students – Bag 3.000,00 BRL;
- 3 positions available for graduates/masters students – Bag 2.000,00 BRL.
Scholarship recipients will be required to participate in in-person activities aligned with the project coordinator, but IDP will not cover travel expenses for residents from other cities.
Researcher responsibilities
Those selected will work on research topics such as regulation of artificial intelligence and social networksin addition to the application of General Law on Data Protection (LGPD) in Brazilian jurisprudence. Activities include:
- Development of studies and research on digital law;
- Critical analysis of judicial decisions related to the area;
- Research into regulatory trends in the digital ecosystem;
- Review of specialized literature and empirical research;
- Production of reports, academic articles, and outreach materials;
- Organizing events and lectures.
