CEDIS publishes call for applications for the IDP Privacy Lab Project.

The Center for Law, Internet and Society (CEDIS) of the Brazilian Institute of Teaching, Development and Research (IDP), coordinated by Professor Laura Schertel Mendes, is publishing a call for applications for volunteer researchers for the IDP Privacy Lab project.

This project arises within the research line "Data Protection and Fundamental Rights" and will focus, throughout 2023, on the decisions of Brazilian courts on topics related to the LGPD (Brazilian General Data Protection Law). Activities are scheduled to begin in May 2023 and will consist of meetings for discussion and in-depth analysis of the topic, to update the LGPD Panel in the Courts. The bi-weekly meetings will be held online synchronously, on Mondays from 11:30 AM to 13:00 PM.

Undergraduate or graduate students from IDP or other educational institutions, from any course of study, may apply, provided they demonstrate an interest in studying topics related to personal data protection and privacy.
