Get to know Laudelina – the Interdisciplinary Center for Leadership and Diversity.

Debating and defending the right to voice and visibility for minorities and marginalized groups has been a recurring objective in the work of research and study groups at IDP and in teaching and outreach activities promoted by the institution.

In order to bring these initiatives together and build a collaborative network between teachers, students, and staff, the institute's schools created Laudelina – the Interdisciplinary Center for Leadership and Diversity.

The core team aims to plan and support initiatives that promote diversity and leadership, as well as foster and encourage the creation of new projects aimed at internal audiences and the community.

The choice of name was a way to honor a Black woman who was a pioneer in the fight for the rights of domestic workers in Brazil: Laudelina de Campos Melo.

The project will soon hold a series of lectures to mark the beginning of its activities.
