(undergraduate, graduate, and master's students).
The purpose of the visit was to deliver kits containing personal hygiene items (towel, shampoo, and conditioner) to 150 female inmates. These items were collected through a fundraising campaign led by Professor Cristiane Damasceno, who is also responsible for the research group "Prison System and Fundamental Guarantees" at IDP.
Among the many other needs of the prison, the decision to provide personal hygiene kits was made with the intention of preserving the dignity of the incarcerated women.
