The seminar took place on December 12th and aimed to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Brazilian Constitution and the 70th anniversary of the Italian Constitution, bringing together exchange students from IDP and their Italian university colleagues.
According to Professor Marcelo Do Val, the event aimed to strengthen ties between the institutions and their students. “Having this type of event hosted at the Brazilian Embassy in Rome is very significant and honorable. It reveals the prestige of IDP among public institutions, its aptitude for academic debate on an equal footing with leading foreign professors, and offers participants an unprecedented academic and cultural experience, unlike any other higher education institution in Brazil, especially within one of the most important Brazilian Embassies,” concludes the Doctor.
IDP students Marcos Henrique, Gabriel dos Santos, Guilherme Mendes, Monique Miranda, Scarlett Victória Marques, Miriam Rocha, Giovana Pereira, Luisa Medeiros, and Larissa Borges are currently in Rome participating in an exchange program between IDP and the University of Roma Tre, and they also attended the event that took place at the embassy.
IDP graduate student Scarlett Victória Marques comments that the event allowed for a better understanding of the historical moment in which the constitution was created. “The immersion in Italian society and the study of its constitution contributes to understanding the course we are taking here in Rome, in addition to the comparison between the histories of the two constitutions, which clearly shows the historical context in which everything occurred,” explains the student.
IDP has several partnerships with internationally recognized universities, such as Roma Tre University, University of Granada, George Mason School, University of Lisbon, and Nova Lisboa Faculty of Law, and provides its students with exchange programs and academic courses abroad.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″ el_class=”sideRightPost”][vc_widget_sidebar sidebar_id=”sidebar”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row” equal_height=”yes” css=”.vc_custom_1526064800224{margin-top: 0px !important;margin-bottom: 0px !important;background-image: url(http://homologacao.idp.edu.br/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/bn_contato_idp-1980×300-1.jpg?id=5274) !important;background-position: center !important;background-repeat: no-repeat !important;background-size: cover !important;}” el_class=”postCTA”][vc_column][themeum_action alignment=”left” title=”STILL HAVE QUESTIONS?” title_style=”customstyle” title_heading=”h2″ title_size=”20″ title_color=”#ffffff” title_weight=”800″ title_margin=”53px 0 0″ title_padding=”0″ btn_position=”btnright” btntext=”CONTACT US” btnurl=”/contact/” btntype=”white” btnsize=”btn-lg”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
