IDP's Law School has distinguished itself as the only private college in the Midwest to earn the OAB Recomenda seal in its latest edition, and also for achieving the highest score in ENADE, the exam that evaluates the quality of higher education courses in Brazil.
According to Lahis Rosa, Academic Manager of the Law Degree Program at IDP and also a professor at the institution, the college's main distinguishing feature is the opportunities it offers students. “IDP students have a unique opportunity here. Through contact with professors, research and study groups, exchange opportunities, and infrastructure, the institution provides all the support needed to become a great jurist. Therefore, IDP trains professionals who are truly prepared to create and transform jurisprudence in a critical and innovative way,” explains the professor.
In addition to preparing students through more than 30 Research Groups in different areas of Law, a modern Legal Practice Center with personalized service, and the Debate Society, a group formed and organized by the students themselves for discussions on various topics in Law and Social Sciences, IDP also has unique initiatives to position its students well in the job market, such as the Career Center, which guides and supports students in choosing their career, the Job Fair, an exclusive event that connects the largest law firms in the country with students, and the Public Careers Center, which prepares graduates specifically for entry into public service.
IDP's faculty is among the most qualified in the country, and this is reflected in the awards it has won – the OAB Recommends Seal, top marks in ENADE and the Guia do Estudante, and a high pass rate on the OAB exam, which has reached 73%. The professors hold master's and doctoral degrees with academic and professional distinction, including ministers of superior courts, judges, prosecutors, and renowned lawyers, among them authors of reference works.
IDP also offers students courses in English and Spanish and provides opportunities to take courses and subjects at renowned partner universities in countries such as Portugal, Germany, the United States, and others. There are more than 15 partner institutions in about 6 different countries.
