The scholarship is intended for candidates approved in the IDP entrance exam who are seeking financial aid to pursue their undergraduate studies. Applications began last Tuesday, June 9th.
According to the coordinator of the social scholarship program, Emilia Joana, it is a transformative opportunity in the student's life. "The Social Scholarship offered by IDP presents itself as an opportunity that can transform the future of low-income students and contributes to the improvement of our educational mission, insofar as we promote a social impact in the Federal District by promoting access to excellent legal education," concludes the professor.
Student Kálita Tavares was one of the beneficiaries of the scholarship and shares a bit about her experience. “I always believed that education is the main engine of transformation in people's lives and I knew this opportunity was unique. I studied in a public school and didn't have much guidance about the ENEM (National High School Exam) and other university entrance exams. Even though I was completely sure of what I wanted, but without any prospect of starting university, I had the opportunity to compete for the social scholarship offered by IDP through a selection process,” explains the student.
She further explains how the scholarship supports students seeking better study conditions. “The social scholarship was one of the greatest opportunities I've ever had; it's not just a scholarship, but it also made me believe that it's possible to achieve all my dreams, because I know I'm in the best place. IDP is a unique institution, with high-quality teaching, top-level research, and offers diverse opportunities for student growth and improvement,” concludes the student.
The candidate must be approved in a specific selection process, which includes an analysis of eligibility criteria, entrance exam score, academic record, and an interview with an admissions committee.
The candidate cannot have completed more than two semesters of the course at another college.
