The project aims to bring the federal agency closer to the academic world and foresees technical cooperation that will demonstrate how centralized public procurement is carried out in the Federal Executive Branch.

The project will include free lectures at IDP, technical visits by students from the Institution to the agency, collaborative research between the two institutions, and the participation of professors and students in monograph and thesis competitions on topics related to the Central Purchasing Office's activities. Furthermore, the project foresees the creation of a Research Group at IDP focused on Centralized Public Procurement, the first of its kind in Brazil.

According to Dr. Virginia, Director of the Central Purchasing Office, the project brings benefits to institutions and society. “The rapprochement between Public Administration and Academia is a necessary movement with mutual gains. For the administration, it will be an opportunity to engage with current concepts and theories, revitalize its processes and ideas, and be exposed to new solutions, debates, and collaborative constructions. For academia, it will be possible to learn about an administration that challenges prevailing stereotypes and paradigms and seeks to innovate and bring efficiency to public procurement, as well as perceive the convergence between theory and practice. And, for both, a path of advancements, studies, and collaboration emerges for the improvement of public management,” explains the Director.

For IDP students, the project is an opportunity to learn in practice how institutes that are often far removed from their reality function, as well as to open dialogues that foster the improvement of Legal and Public Administration training in matters related to public procurement, thus helping in the preparation of students for entry into public careers, the improvement of professionals and the training of researchers, consultants, leaders and political agents of excellence to work in the public sector and related areas.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″ el_class=”sideRightPost”][vc_widget_sidebar sidebar_id=”sidebar”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row” equal_height=”yes” el_id=”courses-page-box-5″ css=”.vc_custom_1526064800224{margin-top: 0px !important;margin-bottom: 0px !important;background-image: url(http://homologacao.idp.edu.br/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/bn_contato_idp-1980×300-1.jpg?id=5274) !important;background-position: center !important;background-repeat: no-repeat !important;background-size: cover !important;}” el_class=”postCTA”][vc_column][themeum_action alignment=”left” title=”STILL HAVE QUESTIONS?” title_style=”customstyle” title_heading=”h2″ title_size=”20″ title_color=”#ffffff” title_weight=”800″ title_margin=”53px 0 0″ title_padding=”0″ btn_position=”btnright” btntext=”CONTACT US” btnurl=”/contact/” btntype=”white” btnsize=”btn-lg”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
