The first IDP Experience in May addresses the theme of Collaborative Economy. The course will cover the concept of collaborative economy and how legislation should be structured to regulate services so that they benefit the population. The event takes place this Friday, May 10th, in the IDP auditorium.
This edition, like the others, will be divided into two parts. In the first session, the Coordinator of the Public Administration course, Claudiomar Matias, will share his experience traveling the world with Airbnb. In the second part of the day, the SDIDP – IDP's Society of Debates – will lead a debate on the regulation of apps, such as Uber, Airbnb, iFood, Yellow, and many others.
According to the Project Coordinator, Daniel Guedes, the concept of collaborative economy is so prevalent in our current society that it becomes important to study and discuss it. “Students will learn what the collaborative economy is, how it is transforming the world, and also the opportunities and challenges it brings. Furthermore, they will learn about the story of one of our professors who traveled the world thanks to a collaborative economy app. Therefore, this activity is crucial for understanding more about this movement and the new ways of organizing the economy,” explains Daniel.
