This May, IDP brings together a renowned team of in-house professors to conduct the course "Current Issues in Law." The course will cover four prominent themes in the current legal landscape: "CURRENT ISSUES IN CONSTITUTIONAL LAW," "NEW MARKET TRENDS AND DATA PROTECTION," "CONTROL AND COMBATING CORRUPTION," and "CAPITAL MARKETS AND BUSINESS LAW." The courses will be taught at the institution, are aimed at undergraduate law students, and are free of charge (limited places available).
According to Professor Vinicius Vasconcellos, who will be teaching one of the courses, this type of opportunity becomes a differentiating factor during the student's undergraduate studies. "The importance lies in presenting undergraduate students with current topics, which are widely debated in legal doctrine, in the courts, and even by society in general, in a more in-depth and specific way, enabling a critical analysis of the Brazilian legal landscape," explains the professor.
Each course will be taught by two professors and will last two days, one professor per day. Professor Gilmar Mendes, PhD and Supreme Court Justice, will teach the course “CURRENT ISSUES IN CONSTITUTIONAL LAW” alongside Professor João Trindade Cavalcante, Master and Legislative Consultant. “NEW MARKET TRENDS AND DATA PROTECTION” will be taught by Professor [Name Missing], PhD and Public Manager. Laura Schertel and Ricardo Morishita, Master in Law and Consultant for the Consumer Protection Department, the course “"CONTROL AND COMBATING CORRUPTION" will be taught by Professor Vinicius Vasconcellos, PhD in Law and Editor-in-Chief of the Brazilian Journal of Criminal Procedural Law, and Nefí Cordeiro, PhD in Law and Minister of the Superior Court of Justice (STJ). The final course, "CAPITAL MARKETS AND BUSINESS LAW," will be taught by Mauro Ribeiro, Master's student in Law and Director of the Ministry of Planning, and Guilherme Leite, Master of Law and Coordinator of the Legal Practice Center (NPJ).
