Applications are open until February 17th for the Professional Master's Degree in Law at IDP. The course aims to analyze and discuss current issues in legal sciences, emphasizing a methodology that addresses case studies and thus articulates theoretical knowledge with legal practice. Classes will begin on March 15, 2019.
The program has four areas of interest: Contemporary Administrative Law: State and Market; Economic Criminal Law, Combating Corruption and Compliance; Tax Law and Economic Development; and finally, Corporate, Business and Consumer Law. In the courses of each area of interest, master's students will have access to debates and theoretical discussions related to advanced professional practice, thus meeting the contemporary demands of the market and society based on a solid academic foundation.
The Professional Master's Degree in Law is fundamental for professionals seeking to deepen their studies without losing sight of their career goals. The program brings into dialogue innovative theoretical trends and the challenges of the daily technical work of a jurist. Its great differentiator is the focus of academic research on applied problems. Therefore, the methodologies used, such as case studies, are also innovative and seek to approximate professional practice. The advantages of a Master's degree, in turn, are maintained: the program qualifies its graduates to teach in higher education courses and to compete for doctoral degrees, for example.
Furthermore, the faculty is comprised of prominent figures who excel professionally in their respective fields, such as Marília de Ávila, PhD in Law and Judge of the TJDFT (Court of Justice of the Federal District and Territories); Luiz Alberto Gurgel, PhD in Law and Minister of the Superior Court of Justice; and Tarcísio Vieira de Carvalho, PhD in Law and Minister of the Superior Electoral Court.
