In this first phase of the project, 10 free mini-courses will be offered, every Wednesday at 19 pm, starting on September 11th. The mini-courses will emphasize current topics in Public Administration, Law and Economics, such as Pension Reform, Design Thinking, Combating Corruption and the Use of Big Data in the Public Sector.
According to Caio Resende, PhD in Economics and Coordinator of the Professional Master's Program in Public Administration at IDP, the project is the result of a partnership between the Graduate Schools of Public Administration, Law, and Economics at IDP. "The Open Space is a way for IDP to contribute to the quality of public debate by offering society rigorous technical and scientific knowledge on current topics from the most diverse areas of knowledge," explains the professor.
IDP is an independent think tank that fosters the development of ideas and the production of debates as a whole; therefore, the project is aimed at disseminating knowledge and contributing positively to society. Because it has a faculty composed of highly qualified professionals, all mini-courses will be taught by Masters, Doctors, and Post-Doctoral fellows from IDP's Master's programs, such as Legislative Consultant and Doctor of Economics, Pedro Nery; former Minister of the CGU (Comptroller General of the Union) and Master in Law and Public Administration, Jorge Hage; and the Director of the Department of Consumer Protection and Defense – DPDC and Post-Doctoral Fellow in Economics, Fernando Meneguin, among other prominent professionals.
