IDP is preparing the 3rd edition of the Job Fair, a mega fair for legal careers that brings together major law firms from across the country and a program of lectures full of leading professionals in various areas of law. The fair, which will take place on September 28th this year, aims to connect IDP students with the job market, facilitating interviews between students and firms throughout the country.
Rodrigo Alencar, an 8th-semester law student at IDP, explains the importance of having participated in the previous edition of the Job Fair. “I found it a very valuable and cool experience, not only because I got an internship, but also because it was an excellent networking opportunity. I was able to visit several law firms, learn about different areas of practice, and the lectures offered were super interesting,” comments the student.
In previous editions, the fair attracted over 1.000 registered students, approximately 30 participating firms, and hundreds of student interviews. According to one of the organizers of the initiative and coordinator of the Career Center, Professor Raquel Cândido, the event is a great opportunity for students. “The Job Fair is an IDP initiative to bring the job market into the university and offer students opportunities to experience real-world legal situations. The experiences provided, such as going through interviews, meeting various firms and professionals with successful careers, prepare students for professional life and the future. The fair makes students reflect on their goals, on what they want to achieve after graduation, and creates this vision for the future. It's an innovative initiative, where we were pioneers in the Federal District, and unique in Brazil in the format we produced,” concludes the professor.
