During the events, law firms, IDP professors and invited jurists debate the theme chosen for the edition.
According to the project coordinator, Júlia Mansan, the event aims to stimulate the production and cooperation in the creation of academic material. “IDP is an independent think tank that encourages the development of ideas and the production of debates as a whole. We have a faculty composed of leading legal experts, and the production of this type of event is a logical consequence of this gathering. Thus, we take advantage of our space and available resources to contribute positively to the legal community.”
According to lawyer Sérgio do Anjos, the event was a great learning experience. “The topic unfolded into the most discussed issue currently: leaks of information, breaches of procedural confidentiality, and extrajudicial dialogues between the Public Prosecutor's Office and the Judiciary. We, criminal lawyers, are suffering daily from the lack of mechanisms to combat this. And the speakers brought excellent ideas, such as a new law on abuse of authority, since ours is very old. Congratulations to the institution,” reveals the jurist.
The next event, themed "Dosimetry of Sanctions for Administrative Misconduct," is scheduled for July 22nd, and admission will be by invitation only, provided by the institution.
