The course aims to address major operations, new legislative and administrative tools, and changes in jurisprudential understandings that broaden the scope of controversies regarding the control and fight against corruption in Brazil. The course is free and open to the public.
On the first day of the event, the topic of "Plea Bargaining" will be addressed by Professor and Lawyer André Callegari, while on the second day, Professor and Lawyer Paulo Catta Preta, from IDP, will lecture on "Current Controversies Regarding the Crime of Corruption".
Professor André explains the importance of studying this topic today. “The topic of collaboration has several points that are not yet settled in the courts. There are discussions about the awards granted, about the link to the ratification of the agreement, to the termination process, just to mention a few examples. These facts alone should already interest students in the topic. Because when they act, they must be aware of the legal reality that is occurring in the structuring of these agreements,” comments the Doctor.
