IDP opens application for exchange program in Washington DC. Development policy in the global South: institutional, social and economic challenges, will be held between December 02nd and 13th, 2019 at the School of International Service of American University.
According to Professor Atalá Correia, PhD, from IDP, internationalization is a key differentiator for today's legal professionals. “It's a unique opportunity to experience the North American academic environment, interact with international professors, and get to know the nation's capital. International experience opens doors for students, contributing to the work they are developing in Brazil, enabling research, and paving the way for new exchanges,” explains the professor.

- In December it's winter in the United States, but that doesn't diminish the beauty of the capital, Washington. During this season, the snow creates stunning landscapes for the city. The capital is beautifully illuminated, and the White House Christmas tree becomes a major attraction.
- During winter in Washington, and throughout the United States, it's common for ice skating rinks to open. Take the opportunity to have some fun! 🙂
- You can also visit the National Air and Space Museum. It has a huge collection comprised of spacecraft and aircraft, antique replicas, research centers, and items such as the original plane that made the first controlled flight or a rock brought back from Mars, as well as some collectibles and capsules.
- For art lovers, a visit to the National Gallery of Art, located on the National Mall, is like striking gold, as it is one of the 10 most visited art museums in the world.
- Most museums in Washington offer free admission.
And one more very important tip: don't forget to bring some warm clothes to enjoy the cold weather in the American capital!
IDP seeks to provide its students with internationalization experiences through agreements with nationally and internationally renowned universities, such as the Nova University of Lisbon, the University of Macau, the University of Roma Tre, the Bahian University of Law and Management, and the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, enabling the development of research, participation in projects, and academic exchanges.
