The new episode of Economisto, the IDP's Economics and Public Policy podcast, is now available!

Economisto is IDP's economics and public policy podcast, where economist and professor Pedro Fernando Nery hosts the country's leading experts to discuss a wide range of issues impacting our society: social inequality, education, social programs, the role of the state, racism, gender inequality, elections, and public policies are some of the topics highlighted.

The discussions feature prominent figures from the international scene. Every week, a special guest joins the conversation. The first season, focused on the debate about inequality, already included names like former Central Bank president Pérsio Arida to discuss the role of the State in combating inequality. After all, should the State be concerned with equality of outcomes or equality of opportunity? With both? Or neither?

And it doesn't stop there. Who better to talk about tax reform than the very mentor of the proposal currently being debated in the National Congress, Bernard Appy? Or to talk about liberalism and the fight against inequality than the president of Livres and former advisor to the president of BNDES, Elena Landau? Discover also why Professor and Chair in Tax Law at Leeds University, Rita de la Feria, called our tax policy "extraordinarily awful," and much more.

Discussing these topics provides a stronger foundation for debating the country's future. Don't miss the opportunity to deepen your knowledge of economics, public policy, and the future of Brazilian society by listening to Economisto, available weekly on the IDP podcast website and also on major podcast platforms.
