Constitutional Law Scholars Forum, Constitutional Law Congress organized by Barry University, Florida (USA). At the Congress, the Prosecutor will speak about Law and Backlash, his master's thesis, focusing more specifically on Courts and social transformations. The Congress is scheduled for March 1st.
Samuel explains that although he will address his Master's degree in Law and Backlash, he will also address the North American context in the debate. "The theme of my presentation has as its backdrop Constitutional Courts and the aspiration for social transformation. Many Constitutional Courts strive to transform society, but empirical studies show that this aspiration is not a simple task. In Florida, my presentation will be a little more specific because, starting from this challenge already presented, I will address themes such as race and Social Psychology. The idea is to demonstrate some comparative studies between the Brazilian Supreme Court and the US Supreme Court," explains the Master.
For the author, this type of event allows for a greater exchange of knowledge among researchers. “I feel happy for the opportunity to share my research with different legal communities (Brazil and abroad), because they all contribute to improvements. For example, in the United States, the legal community is different from that found in Eastern Europe. The thinking is distinct and the traditions are different. It's another enriching moment. They are different but complementary perspectives; in short, a critical audience allows for the improvement of research,” adds the prosecutor.
For Samuel, IDP was an important part of completing his work. “IDP has a world-class teaching structure. Everything is absolutely organized and the professors are impeccable. This environment provides the ideal conditions for the development of any serious research in Law. In my case, in particular, I can mention the support and supervision of Professor Paulo Gonet,” concludes the Master.
