Are concepts of vulnerability capable of influencing social practices?
The debate surrounding the concept of vulnerability seeks to bring elements of theoretical reflection that can contribute to the deepening of democracy in the context of access to health and social assistance rights, based on the unveiling of the directions of Brazilian social security. Given the relevance of analyzing the directions that social protection has been taking in the current context of the country, Carmo and Guizardi (2018) sought to understand and interpret, through a literature review, the conceptions of vulnerability in the non-contributory policies that make up social security, produced in the last two decades.
