IDP is always aware of its social responsibility.
Aware of its social responsibility, IDP develops initiatives with the mission of disseminating academic knowledge and contributing to the reduction of inequalities, such as the Legal Training Course for High School Students, the Public Administration Training Course for High School Students, and the General Theory of Public Law Training Course aimed at university students. All of the Institute's training courses are free and require donations as a form of registration, which are subsequently forwarded to charity. Entities such as Vila do Pequenino Jesus, Casa da Mãe Preta do Brasil, and Casa de Ismael are among the beneficiary institutions.
Responsibilities related to social inclusion, as well as sustainability and community well-being, are strategic goals for the Institute, which raises donations at high-profile events such as lectures, seminars, and congresses. The traditional International Congress of Constitutional Law, for example, is one of the main fundraising sources, as it brings together participants from all over the country and abroad. Instead of a registration fee, attendees donate food, hygiene products, and other items during the registration process. Furthermore, these events reinforce the Institute's social responsibility by being open to the academic community.
This commitment is reinforced by the Institute's stance of remaining accessible to society, which includes free public access to the IDP library facilities and its collection of books, e-books, periodicals, reference documents, and databases. The Institute has a Digital Library, which constitutes a research support tool that facilitates contact with internal academic and scientific production.
Another social initiative promoted by IDP is the Solidarity Extension project, through which students not only collect and deliver donations to institutions with a wide variety of social action focuses, but also participate in inclusion actions by conducting awareness lectures on rights, identifying any existing legal demands, or even providing legal guidance.
Along the same lines, the Institute develops a legal and social outreach program in partnership with the Special Civil and Criminal Court of Núcleo Bandeirante, an administrative region of the Federal District. Through the project, students act as volunteer conciliators to meet the needs of the local community.
IDP also provides free legal assistance at the Papuda Penitentiary Complex and the Federal District Women's Prison. It also promotes other activities such as donation drives for inmates and scholarships for former inmates.
"Socially Responsible Institution" Seal
IDP received the "Socially Responsible Institution" seal from the Brazilian Association of Higher Education Institutions (ABMES) for four consecutive years (2012-2015). With this gesture, ABMES certifies higher education institutions that participated in the Social Responsibility Day campaign for Private Higher Education. This commitment to education and society, recognized by constant social actions and the seal below, is one of IDP's hallmarks.

Among these actions, the following stand out:
Training Course in General Theory of Public Law Offered twice a year as a free extension course, it aims to contribute to the training of law students by providing in-depth discussion of specific topics related to Public Law. Its main objective is to contribute to the technical and ethical training of law students from various higher education institutions in the Federal District.
Legal Training Course for High School Students – Its purpose is to offer basic knowledge about rights and duties to young people who have recently graduated from high school. With this free, semester-long course, the Institute proposes the discussion of fundamental legal issues necessary for the knowledge of any citizen.
FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGNS
Registration for the courses in General Theory of Public Law and Legal Training for High School is done through the delivery of donations (food, personal hygiene products). Entities such as Vila do Pequenino Jesus, Casa da Mãe Preta do Brasil and Casa de Ismael are among the charitable institutions that benefit from these donations.
Events such as the Brasilia Congress of Constitutional Law, seminars on diverse themes, and lectures with Brazilian and foreign guests also contribute to these campaigns by collecting donations during their registration processes.
DISSEMINATION OF KNOWLEDGE
The IDP's social responsibility programs also include free access to its library facilities and collection, which includes books, e-books, periodicals, databases, and course completion works from all students. The Institute has its Digital Library, a research support tool that seeks to make access to internal academic and scientific production more agile. The virtual collection of the Brazilian Institute of Teaching, Development and Research brings together documents resulting from its cultural, technical and scientific activities, as well as the doctrinal production of its students and teachers.
LEGAL APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM
IDP is a partner of the Aprendiz Legal Program, aimed at preparing and integrating young people into the world of work. Aprendiz Legal is an apprenticeship program based on Law 10.097/2000. The Institute contributes to the formation of autonomous young people who know how to interpret the world in new ways, make decisions, and intervene positively in society. We believe that it is a shared responsibility of the State, society, family, and the young people themselves to strengthen their self-esteem and their status as citizens through work.
